Top 10 billionaires in the world for 2014 according to Wiki here in Alltop9.

As per Forbes magazine, here are the world’s top 10 billionaires in 2014.

Bill Gates topped the list of top 10 billionaires and he is been listed 15 times in the top 1 spot in the last 20 years.

During the last 4 consecutive years, the Telecom Mogul ” Carlos slim Helu” was in the top spot, but he is in 2nd place.

Bill Gates is the founder and chairman of the biggest software company Microsoft is the top 1 in the list of top 10 billionaires in the world this year 2014 with a net worth of $76 billion.

This made him the richest person on Earth, not only he is rich but also the most generous person in the world.

He started the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation with his wife Melinda Gates and donated more than 28 billion dollars to cure the diseases of polio and malaria all over the world and been working for the welfare of the people made him the real richest person in the world.

He owns around 397 million shares in his firm (Microsoft) and has been found in investing in real estate, sapphire energy, etc.

2. Carlos Slim Helu

Carlos Slim Helu is the Chairman & CEO of Telmex, América Móvil, and Grupo Carso. He is in the top 2 in the list of top 10 billionaires in the world with a net worth of around $74 billion.
He has been in the number one spot in the last consecutive 4 years. but lost to Bill Gates this year. He is a Mexican aged 74 and he mostly invested in public trading companies.
Now his net worth dropped to $70 billion as of surging stocks. He owns around 46% of shares in his Firm.

3. Amancio Ortega

Amancio Ortega is the co-founder of Inditex Group and he is in the 3rd spot in the list of top 10 billionaires in the world with a net worth of around $64 billion which made him the 3rd richest person in the world.
He is from rich family background and his ex-wife is the richest woman in Spain until she died. His major income source is from the Inditex group where he owns around 59% of the shares.

4. Warren Buffett

Warren Buffett is the chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway and he is in the top 4th in the list of top 10 billionaires in the world with a net worth of $58 billion.
He is not only the 4th richest person but also the most successful investor in the 20th century.
As per times magazine 2012, he is considered to be one of the most influential people in the world. He is a good friend to Bill Gates and Buffett is known to be a philanthropist too as he gave a notable amount of 99% of his fortune to Gates Foundation.
His major source of income is from Berkshire Hathaway and he is been in buying shares since he was 11 years old.

5. Larry Ellison

Larry Ellison is the co-founder and CEO of Oracle Corporation and he is n the 5th spot in the list of top 10 billionaires in the world with a net worth of around $48 billion which made him the 5th richest person in the world.

His major income source is from Oracle Corporation and he owns around 23% of stocks in them and his salary is around $77 million.

6. Charles Koch

Charles Koch is the Chairman and CEO of Koch Industries and he is in the 6th spot in the list of top 10 billionaires in the world (2014) with a net worth of around $40.6 billion.

His major source of income is from Koch Industries where he owns 42% of shares and he is tied with his brother David H. Koch

7. David H. Koch

David H. Koch is the Vice president for Koch Industries and he is also in the 6th spot like his brother Charles Koch (tied with him) as his net worth is also $48 billion.

Like his brother, he is more active than his brother and has been operating the chemical wing of Koch industries from his home. He too owns 42% of shares in Koch Industries as like his brother Charles Koch

9. Christy Walton

Christy Walton is the co-chairperson of the children’s scholarship fund and she is in the 9th spot in the list of top 10 billionaires in the world (2014) with a net worth of around $36.7 billion.

She is known as Wal-Mart widow (as the famous name given by Forbes) and she owns a whooping 402 billion shares in the retail company Wal-Mart which is around 12.2% of total shares

10. Jim Walton

Jim Walton is the chairman of Arvest Bank Group and also for Community Publishers Inc, and a board member of Wal-Mart stores Inc, and he is in the 10th  spot in the list of top 10 billionaires in the world (2014) with a net worth of around $34.7 billion.

He is a close relative to Christy Walton and they all are famously known as the Walton family, he owns around 12.6% of shares in the Wal-Mart stores Inc, and his major income comes from this source.
