Google has offered an amazing opportunity for the Android users to get a paid title free of charge. Google took a step forward and has launched a “Free App of the Week” as part of a promotion in Google Play.

A Quick Guide on How to Get Free App from Google Play Store Every Week

It has introduced this “Free App of the week” feature to avail a free chance to the users. The new feature facilitates the user to download a free app for a normal charge, and the title gets changed weekly. Now, Google has offered Free App of the Week that includes only particular titles which are placed under the Family apps section.

Till now, Google had not offered any similar type of promotion. But now, it has rolled out to offer this new feature every week as it is slackening its grip over the paid Android apps in the Google Play Store. This initial move signifies that Google is gradually altering its direction towards offering free apps to its users.

Free App of the Week- How it Works?

Free App of the Week will not be displayed as soon as you open your Google Play Store. You will be able to view a banner that displays “New Family Fun” at the bottom of the screen. Just by clicking on that, you will be directed to the family section. Here, you will get another banner that advertises a free app of the week from PBS Kids. It doesn’t explicitly highlight the app that is available for free which remains as a blemish. Instead of highlighting, it just provides information regarding the purchase.

According to Android Police, “The offer isn’t immediately apparent when you first open the Play Store. A banner advertising “New Family Fun” appears at the bottom of the screen. Clicking that will take you over to the family section, where you should see another banner advertising a free app of the week from PBS Kids. The banner doesn’t tell you specifically which app is up for grabs, which is kind of awkward. When you click to get more information, the purchase prompts pops up instead.”

Google Rolls out from Paid Apps to Free Apps

App developers include their apps on the Google Play Store in order to promote their apps and reach the customer’s sight. The developers fix a price for every app that is stored in Google Play Store. Earlier, once if any App developer of a paid app alters their app’s price to free, the Play Store would not let them change it back as a paid app. Google has followed Apple in offering “Free App of the Week” for all its users.
