CAT (Common Admission Test):

Common Admission Test (CAT) is the most popular MBA entrance test and is held annually for admission to postgraduate management courses in all the Indian Institute of Management (IIMs) and various other management institutes. IIMs offer around 3,335 seats in various management programmes & other than the IIMs, 165-odd institutes admit students based on CAT scores. Every year more than two lakh students appear for CAT.

The CAT score is used separately by each institute along with other parameters i.e. academic performance, work experience, group discussion, written assessment and interview performance etc. to select candidates. The weightage assigned to CAT score may differ for each institute.

CMAT (Common Management Admission Test):

All India Council for Technical Education conducts CMAT Exam twice a year for facilitating institutions to select suitable students for admission to all management programmes approved by AICTE. The candidates are given two opportunities to appear in CMAT; first in September and second in February. The better of two scores will be used for admission.

CMAT Eligibility:

  • Graduates with 50% in any discipline
  • Final year students of Graduate Courses can also apply.

MAT (Management Aptitude Test):

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is an entrance test for admissions into MBA programs in various top B – schools and other institutes across India. it conducted by AIMA (All India Management Association) New Delhi, 4 times (in February, May, September & December) in a year. MAT Exam Pattern: The MAT entrance test is an objective type written exam of two and half hours duration. The test consists of 200 questions in the following areas:
