How to Link Aadhar Card to (SBI) State Bank Of India Bank Account for LPG Subsidy Online/Offline modes

In today’s article, I am going to give a clear tutorial regarding linking your Aadhar card to the State bank of India bank account for LPG Subsidy in two methods i.e., online and offline modes.

Process in Linking Aadhar Card to (SBI) State Bank Of India Bank Account for LPG Subsidy On/Offline Modes

Now, it is very easy to link your Aadhar card number with your SBI bank account and receiving the LPG subsidy directly to your bank account. As I said in the above line you can do it easily online or offline. Select your convenient method and follow as per the steps below.

Methods to link Aadhar card to SBI

There are two methods to link your Aadhar card to your State Bank of India bank account. Select accordingly and follow the steps mentioned below.

  • Online
  • Offline

Steps to Link Aadhar Card to State Bank of India for LPG Subsidy Through ONLINE

To link Aadhar card to SBI bank account online, you must have SBI net banking to your account. If you do not have online net banking then consider your bank and apply for net banking. If you are not aware of it then select Offline mode. To link online follow the steps given below.

Step 1

Open a web browser and Login to your SBI Online Account.

Step 2

After login go to “MY ACCOUNTS” option. Under “My Accounts” menu, see the options available on the left side of the panel. At the end of the options, you can see the two options like “Link your Adhaar Number” and another option is “Link your LPG customer ID“. In these two options, you have to select “Link your Aadhaar Number“. For a clear view see the image below.

Step 3

After the selection, you are asked to select your bank account number and enter your Aadhaar number. Enter all the required details and then click on the “SUBMIT” button. For a clear view see the image below.

Step 4

To complete the registration, you will receive an OTP to your registered mobile number from your bank. Enter the code in the next screen. For a clear view see the image below.

Step 5

Once you enter the correct One time Password and submit, you will get a confirmation by SMS as well as on the screen. See the image below for a clear view.

That’s it! You are done with the Aadhaar registration with your SBI account. Now you have to wait for the bank to process your request and you will get the status updates on your phone by SMS from SBI bank.

Note:

Linking only Aadhaar number is not enough to get the LPG subsidy to your account. Also, you need to link your LPG consumer ID as well to your SBI bank account to complete the total loop and get your LPG subsidies directly to your bank account.

Link LPG Customer ID to SBI Bank account

Follow the steps below to link your LPG customer ID to SBI bank account.

Step 1

If you are already login to your SBI account online, then select the option “Link your LPG customer ID” as shown in the image below.

Step 2

Fill all the required details i.e., select your account, enter your mobile number, enter your 17-digit LPG customer ID and then click on the “SUBMIT” button.

Step 3

You will receive an OTP by SMS for confirmation. Enter that in the next screen and click on Submit button.

Step 4

You will see a confirmation on the screen as well as you will get a confirmation by SMS.
The total process will take a few days to confirm your request. Until that, you have to wait and the SBI bank will send you status updates for your registered mobile number by SMS.

Steps to Link Aadhar Card to State Bank of India for LPG Subsidy Through OFFLINE

Offline mode is nothing but you have to submit the application form to link your Aadhaar card to your respective bank along with the details of your Aadhaar card. To know the complete process of Offline, mode follows the steps below.

Step 1

LPG Subsidy Forms Online

Get all type of Applications of LPG Subsidy scheme “PAHAL” forms. Aadhaar Card-Based Forms

  • Download Form 1 – Form required to be Submitted at Bank

People who have aadhar card with them, need to download the application Form 1 for linking the aadhar card details to the bank account.

  • Download form 2 – Form required to be Submitted at the Bank Distributorship

After downloading, taking a print out and submitting the form number 1, you need to submit the form number 2 at the office of your LPG distributor for linking the aadhar card details to your LPG connection.

  • Non-Aadhar Card-Based Forms

While reading the process of applying for Subsidy scheme without Aadhar card, you will come to know that you can either submit your application at the bank or at the LPG distributor’s office. The forms required for each of this process is different

  • Form no. 3

It is required to present your LPG consumer information at the Bank

  • Form no. 4

This form required to present your bank details like – Name of Account Holder, Account number, IFSC code to the LPG distributor.

All the application forms are the property of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas

Step 2

After downloading the application take a printout of the Application form.

Step 4

After filling the details, you need to attach the photocopy of Aadhar card or Aadhaar number to the application form.

Step 5

Now visit the nearest branch of your Bank account and submit the application form along with the photocopy of your Aadhar card.

Note

You must carry the Aadhar card original to the bank. The bank officials might ask you to showcase the original one for the verification process

Step 6

Then submit the application in the bank. Once you submitted the application form, the bank will process your request soon.

Step 7

Once the process is completed your Aadhaar card is successfully linked to your bank account.
