Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, the father of a nation in India (Bapu), was a prominent freedom fighter and leader in India. Through nonviolence, he defeated the British and made them leave India. India is the second most populated country in the world next to China, and Gandhiji, because of just his words, made everyone in India follow him and walk with him in the fight against the British people in a nonviolent way.
