Hey, Friends! I am back with one more tutorial regarding the conversion of a Facebook account to a page.

In general, getting likes to a new page is a little difficult.

For this, many of them used to convert their profiles to a page as they can get Friends + followers to likes to a newly converted page.

Many of them may or may not be aware of this process of converting our personal Facebook profile/account to a page. In today’s article, I am going to explain the method to convert your personal profile to a Facebook page. This is something different and unique to do so. If your Facebook profile has a good number of followers and friends on your lists then converting to a page and building a brand is a good idea. With this method, there is no loss of information or data on your profile.

Before converting the profile to the page you need to know a few things that will happen after conversion. Once you convert your personal Facebook account to a Page, your current profile picture is transferred to the page and covers your friends and followers as people who like your page. It means that all your friends and followers are converted as likes to your page.  Your Facebook profile username will become the username for your page, and the name on your personal account will become your page’s name. If you want your page to have a different name then try to change your Facebook profile or create a new page on the name you required.

Other than this no other information or things you have shared will be moved over to your new page. So, be sure to save all your information in your account before converting to the page. To save your information you should do these things as follows.

Before proceeding to the conversion of your Facebook account to the page, you have to complete these two major tasks. They are:

  • Downloading all the info of your current Facebook account
  • Adding new admins to the groups you manage

Let us get into a brief about these two first. Later I will explain the process of conversion.

Download the information from the account ( Sent and received messages, photos, videos, etc you have uploaded to your Facebook profile)

The download process is very simple. To download all the information of your personal Facebook account such as photos, videos, received and sent messages, etc follow the steps below.

Step 1

Click at the top right of any Facebook page and select Settings. For a clear view see the image below.

Step 2

Next Click on Download a copy of your Facebook data below your General Account Settings as shown in the image below.

Step 3

Then Click on Start My Archive as shown in the image below. Save your info on your desktop or any drive.

That’s all you are done with downloading your data from your personal Facebook profile/account with simple steps. This download contains all your profile information such as messages, photos, videos, etc whatever you have uploaded to Facebook. You should keep it secure and be careful when storing, sending or uploading it to any other services.

Adding new admins to the groups you manage

The second major task you have to complete is to Add a new group admin to any groups you manage.  If you are an admin to any groups then it is better to add a new admin or if you have another profile then add that profile as admin. You will be unable to manage groups once the process of conversion begins.
After completing these two major works, now we are said to be ready to convert our Facebook profile/account to the page as well. All you have to do is to follow the steps below.
